Failed the exam

Really upset when I came to know that I failed the exam with a band 7.
I am still undecided if I should give it in 2011, part of my makes me think that I should give it in 2011 since the sylabus hasnt changed much from 2010 to 2011

Fixed Income portfolio management

I started on part 1 the other day, I really had to refer Frank Fabozzi's book for calculation of total return and also for calculatons in contingent immunization. I feel that the original book should have provided more information.

Currently working on 'Relative Value Methodologies for Global Credit Bond Portfolio' seems like an easy chapter, that being said I am on getting at it, and wasting my time blogging here.

Making a sacrifice

I have to make a sacrifice in order to achieve my CFA L3. Today I was supposed to do some reading but I had plans to meet with Ashish and I decided to meet with Ashish.
I am supposed to spend the entire of tomorrow studying, I really hope that I can do that tomorrow.

Currently I am reading about Managing Institutional Investor Portfolios, It does seem to have a pattern but I still have to read through the entire lot. I feel that I should read all the original curriculum, but then I feel that is a lot to read and I should just read the schweser note.

Schweser books

Got the schweser books, also got the video CDs, I am currently waiting on the practice exam CD. I was initially looking into extracting only the video from the Video CDs and uploading them to the phone but then I realized that it is much better to install the software and use the Videos along with the slides to learn a faster.
As I am typing this I am thinking if there is a way to convert the Video CDs into a web application so that I can see the slides/video over the net - hosted from my home PC?.

I could also possibly look into extracting only the audio from video and converting it onto mp3 so that I can listen  to it on the way to work or in the gym, or I can purchase the audio mp3 cd.
